Other Services:

In addition to spays and neuters, we perform various other soft tissue and a few orthopedic surgeries in dogs and cats.

Many dogs and cats will need dental prophylactic procedures that include ultrasonic cleaning, polishing and sometimes dental extractions. After performing a physical exam our doctors can make their recommendations for your pet.

We can implant your pet with a scannable microchip. If your pet is lost or stolen, they will have a permanent microchip  that can be scanned by shelters, police departments and veterinary clinics to identify them so they can be returned. We currently use PetLink microchips.

Various internal and external parasites are present in our geographic area. Our doctors will routinely check for these during physical exams and fecal tests.

During routine exams, our doctors will recommend certain vaccines, depending on your animals risk factors. All owned cats and dogs are required to be vaccinated for rabies by Pennsylvania law.

If your pet requires a specialist, our doctors can refer you directly to Blue Pearl of Pittsburgh. This hospital has specialits in every small animal discipline.

Some pets have medical conditions that can be helped with a specialized food. We carry prescription diet formulations from the pet food companies Hills and Purina. You can purchase these foods in our clinic or through the websites HillsToHome, Purina and Vetsource
